What is the recommended air pressure to run in the rear shock?
Barghest rides best at 25–30% sag. The air pressure that will give you this depends on your rider weight complete with all your riding gear. In order for the suspension to set up correctly and stay under the maximum psi rating for the rear shock, max rider weight on this bike/frame is 290 lb. If you are unsure how to figure sag, give us a call and we’ll help you out, 1-844-666-8002.
Can I run standard 29" mountain rims and tires on this frame?
Yes, the Barghest frame will accommodate 29" wheels and tires up to 2.1–2.5" in width.
I crashed and dented (or cracked) my frame, is it safe to ride?
Stop riding your frame immediately and take it to the nearest Heller Bikes dealer for inspection. Any dent or crack in the frame tube suggests a structural weakening of the frame and should be considered a safety risk.
Can I run the Barghest with gears up front?
Yes, the Barghest frame is compatible with 2x drive systems. You will need a Barghest front derailleur hanger (FS2903) and a high direct mount side swing / front pull-style derailleur.
